Spanish Chorizo Sausage Dip

A recipe for Uli’s Famous Spanish Brand Chorizo Sausage 

  • Prep Time: 1o minutes
  • Cook Time:  20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients:

  • 5 pounds Uli’s Famous Spanish Brand Chorizo (about 6 links – remove casing)
  • 1 pound cream cheese(melted)
  • 5 onions, diced
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 8-12 ounces Hero Giardiniera (Giardiniera is an Italian relish made of pickled vegetables in a mixture of vinegar and oil. It is typically eaten as an antipasto or with salads. In the United States, it’s often used as a topping for burgers, brats, bruschetta, hot dogs, or Italian Beef sandwiches. If you can’t find Hero Giardinera, chop peppers, olives, jalapenos, etc.)

Directions:

  • In a large saucepan, Brown crumbled Sausage on medium (6-12 minutes).
  • Add diced Onions.
  • Soften cream cheese and add to mixture stirring until melted .
  • Add Sour Cream.
  • Stir in Hero Giardiniera.
  • Keep warm on low heat on hot plate.
  • Serve with crackers, chips or crostinis.

Notes:

This recipe can be darn spicy so choose your tolerance level of sausage carefully.
