JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will learn to do all parts of sausage production to include cutting & grinding meat, stuffing links, smoking links, packaging and prepping for delivery of our product. Your main goal right now would be to learn how to use the stuffing machine which involves lifting tubs of meat into the stuffer, operating the stuffing machine and putting the meat mixture into collagen or lamb casing. The final step is cutting the links. You will be working with a team of 8-10 production workers, producing 10-30 different kinds of sausage products. We also do many smoked items, bier bites or dried sausage sticks and sausage patties. There are many skills to learn and a German Butcher Master to help you do so.
Position Overview: A Food Production worker: could be responsible for cutting, trimming, chopping, grinding, preparing, and boxing meats for resale. There will also be cross training to include stuffing, packing, cooking and more.
Training and Development: We offer training and skill development for those with little to no experience.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive wages and we pay overtime after 8hrs/day.
