Sausage & Tortellini Alfredo

A recipe for Uli’s Famous German Style Bratwurst

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3(8 ounce) packages of refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1/3 cup & 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 12(4 ounce) Uli’s Famous German Style Bratwurst, browned and sliced
  • 3(8 ounce) packages sliced mushrooms
  • 3 cups red onion, minced
  • 3 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 6 small garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 (12 ounce) jars of Alfredo sauce
  • ¾ cup sliced black olives

Directions:

  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil; stir in tortellini and return to a boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the tortellini floats to the top and the filling is hot, 2 to 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add German Style Bratwurst and sauté until browned and cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove sausage to a plate, slice into 1″ pieces and drain & discard grease from the skillet. Add mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook and stir until vegetables have softened, 5 to 7 minutes.

  • Add reserved sausage and tortellini to the vegetable mixture and pour in Alfredo sauce and olives. Stir everything together and cook over medium heat until heated through, 3 to 5 minutes.
